Our current volunteer opportunities are:
- Neighborhood Captain: Once a month,
The neighborhood captain promotes awareness at
an SOS-AD booth at their local King Soopers. Hob-
nob with your neighbors and spread awareness at
the same time. - School Captain: The school captain helps
with the coordination of The Write Story when it
comes to their local school. They help distribute
books to the kids and autism action plans to the
teachers. Also a point of reference for early
intervention referrals, the school captain helps direct
teachers and parents towards the appropriate
contacts within and without the school. - Run for Mayor!: It's your chance to run the
town! The SOS-AD Race for Mayor begins in
January 2007. Candidates will collect "votes" and
then come to the inaugural dinner to find out who
will be elected. We will send you more information
and keep you up to date on when your campaign
begins. Start practicing your inaugural speech!
